Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The breakfast selection at Bright's is undoubtedly a crowd favorite, particularly the all-day fry-up that comes highly praised. Diners rave about the quality ingredients, like the traditional sausages and perfectly cooked eggs, bringing a taste of home to the table.

Another highlight is the great coffee and tea selection. Many patrons appreciate the attentive service, making sure your cup is never empty. Desserts follow with the same dedication, ensuring a satisfying end to every meal. The warmth of the staff enhances the overall experience, as many guests comment on their friendliness and efficiency.

Most Disliked

One common remark pertains to the occasional wait times during peak hours. It’s best to visit during non-peak times to avoid long queues, especially on Saturdays, when it can reach full capacity. Some guests have mentioned minor service hiccups, like missing items from their order, but the staff quickly resolves these. The diner-style decor may not appeal to everyone, as some diners prefer a more upscale ambiance, but the focus here remains on hearty food rather than fancy surroundings.

This is my favourite café in Belfast. It is simple, straightforward and down to earth. The breakfast is wonderful, well cooked and not greasy. I've also had a couple of the lunch options - fish and chips and chicken goujons. Both were excellent. Lovely curry sauce, none of this fruity business, good little lick off of it. They take card or cash. The staff are very efficient yet you don't feel rushed. Far better than the like of Bob and Bert's. First class. Very highly recommended!

Was looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat on a trip to Belfast, wanted to try a traditional Ulster Fry. So we came across Bright’s, there was a queue, which is usually a good sign, we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Now to the Ulster Fry, living up to the New York Post banner outside, it’s one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Belfast, reminiscent of my Grandmothers efforts. Good quality ingredients, cooked well, Heinz beans which is a big plus, proper tea in a pot, at least 3 cups. We also tried the stack, which was a revelation, soda bread, topped with bacon, then potato cake, then sausages, a pancake, topped with 2 eggs - something I’ll be recreating at home. Staff were very friendly and polite, prices are very reasonable, well worth a visit.

This place is not fancy - more of a diner style cafe - but the large breakfast fry was excellent and the service was friendly. They missed an egg off my portion and it came within 30 seconds, once I had alerted the waitperson. The coffee was fine, although the cappuccino came without chocolate on top.
